A woman from Alaska was visiting her friend when she was hit by a prison bus on I-55, according to WWLTV.
She is quoted as saying that the car collision was "out of nowhere", that she was simply driving and suddenly felt like she was being "spun around".
Her injuries sustained have left her with limited movement in her arm and leg. She has been quoted as saying that the pain is so debilitating that she cannot drive her car, leaving her stranded in New Orleans, Louisiana. She had driven down from Alaska in her camper van to visit her mother in Alabama before traveling to New Orleans.
Madison Hunt, a cancer survivor, had left her corporate job to become a life coach. As she has yet to see any insurance payouts, she is also stranded in New Orleans due to the financial strain that the accident (and the subsequent injuries) have caused her. She has set up a gofundme page to ease the financial strain the accident has caused her so that she can eventually return home.
If you've been hurt in a car accident and have sustained injuries, it is best to contact an attorney right away to discuss the next steps to take. Trusting an insurance company payout without first seeking legal counsel is not to be advised.
