Louisiana Legal Updates: Catastrophic DUI Accident Has Family Questioning the Law

A Slidell, Louisiana family became devastated by the loss of a family member to an alleged drunk driver going north on a southbound highway on Thanksgiving morning.

Statistically, drunk driving incidents and arrests are shown to take an inordinate spike during Thanksgiving. The family is questioning the legal system after the driver was released with no bail. The driver who killed 23-year old Jada Bright had been driving despite her previous arrest two days prior. It was her fourth offense DUI.
